Which fees does eBay charge?
eBay charges several types of fees that vary by item and shop status:
- Final value fee: The main share — tiered by category. For example 6.5% for consumer electronics up to €500, then 3%. For fashion and standard categories it is 12% up to €990.
- Festgebuehr: Since 12 February 2026: €0.35 for an item value up to €10 and €0.45 for an item value over €10.
- Insertion fee: Waived within the free allowance (usually 250 listings/month). After that €0.35 per listing.
- Promoted Listings: Optional ad fee between 2–20% of the selling price, only due on an actual sale via the promotion.

Does eBay also charge a fee on shipping costs?
Ja. eBay berechnet die Provision auf den Gesamtbetrag aus Verkaufspreis plus Versandkosten. Wenn du 5 € Versand berechnest, wird auch auf diese 5 € die Provisionrate angewendet. Daher lohnt es sich, Versandkosten realistisch zu kalkulieren und nicht zu hoch anzusetzen.
